According to Tsakane police spokesman Capt Petros Mabuza, the driver of a Volvo S40 was hijacked at the corner of Vlakfontein and Black roads at around 8pm last Saturday.
The car was recovered at about 9pm, not far from the scene.
He explains that a 24-year-old man was later arrested in KwaThema in connection with the hijacking.
The suspect is believed to be the only one involved in the hijacking.
