A herder, who was watching over his cattle near Tonk Meter Way in Selcourt, noticed one of his cows grazing near a black plastic bag, which seemed to have something heavy inside.
“He found the body of a newborn baby boy inside the bag,” says WO Tommy Tomlinson, Dunnottar police spokesman.
Police were called to the scene and are investigating a case of concealment of birth.
