Ward committee spokesperson Zandile Dzingaa says: “In collaboration with Youth Month, we saw an opportunity to promote health and fitness for our nursery-going children.
All the local crèches turned out, to motivate children and parents to participate in sports once the children start with their primary school careers.
Dzingaa says they decided to hold the event so that children can identify their talents at a young age and not find themselves becoming victims of substance abuse.
“This event will be hosted again next year, when all the crèches from Kwatsaduza will be invited to attend,” she adds.
Dzingaa believes children should be mentored and be encouraged to be fit and healthy at a young age, so they are not trapped in obesity.
She thanks the EMPD, parents and the community for their support.
