The event was organised by Movement for Change.
Keynote speaker of the day and ex-convict, Tsapelo Matseko, was a learner at the school before he chose a life of gangsterism and criminality.
Matseko told learners he regretted his criminal actions when he experienced prison life.
“That is when I realised that I need myself more than my friends need me,” he says.
He encouraged learners to expose themselves to opportunities that will empower them.
Movement for Change founder Musa Zwane urged learners to invest their time in quality friendships.
“The world is waiting for you and your talents,” he says.
