According to EMPD spokesman Chief Supt Wilfred Kgasago, the officers noticed a suspicious-looking vehicle parked at a car wash at the corner of Qundu and Nyaweni streets in Masimini section at about 11am.
He says the officers found the car had no license disc.
“The officers also discovered the vehicle was reported as hijacked a few days ago in Mpumalanga,” says Kgasago.
The vehicle was towed by the EMPD and booked into the SAPS pound in Benoni.
Police are searching for the hijackers.
