Croesus get the better of Home Sweepers

KwaThema - The Springs Home Sweepers faced Croesus Ladies FC in the Sasol League match at the KwaThema Stadium on Saturday.

The game began with the Sweepers showing confidence in the game.

Croesus, however, made sure there were no gaps in their defence.

Both teams were determined to lead, but no goals were scored by the time the referee blew the whistle at the end of the first half.

In the second half, the teams returned to the pitch with different strategies.

Sweepers Nomathemba Ntsibande (29) scored the opening goal of the second half.

Twenty minutes into the second half saw Croesus equalise with a stunning goal by Florence Ranyawa (31).

Neo Mzaza scored two goals for Croesus, one of which hit the back of the net during the last minutes of the game.

This left Home Sweepers in a state of shock and panic.

The match ended in a 3-1 win to Croesus.
