Learners get new school shoes
KwaThema - One hundred learners now have new school shoes thanks to the Cool Dads Foundation.
The Cool Dads Foundation aims to give hope to children without fathers and to be positive male role models in their lives.
To fulfil their role in the community, the foundation donated 100 pairs of school shoes to the learners at Umsobomvu Primary School on Friday.
Speaking on behalf of the foundation, Bongani Luvalo says the donation is also a way to show love to the children.
He says they donated the school shoes to the learners to put a smile on their faces.
“We understand the importance of education and want to ensure that no child misses school because they cannot afford school shoes,” says Luvalo.
He explains the foundation will also donate shoes and socks to learners from other primary schools in KwaThema.
He also encouraged the learners to take their education seriously.
Umsobomvu Primary School principal Nontobeko Motha thanked the foundation for the donation.
She says the donation will help the children keep warm this winter.
