Club spreads winter warmth

Duduza - The Sonqoba Simunye Men Burial Club donated blankets to less privileged members of the community.

The blankets were handed over at the Monty Motloung Hall last Saturday.

The club has made donations of this kind annually for the last five years as a way of giving back to the community of Duduza.

Each member of the club identified a community member in need of a blanket.

Connie Mokoena (53), a recipient of a blanket, expressed how important it is for the club to continue helping the less fortunate.

“I’m so happy to have received a blanket so I can keep warm throughout the winter season,” says Mokoena.

The club also donates grocery hampers to poor families over Christmas.

Benjamin Dyantyi (45), PRO of the club, highlighted how various community members need assistance.

He says the club is hoping to acquire even more items to donate next year.

“We have to play our part as responsible men in the community by showing care to the poor in our community,” says Dyantyi.
