Sustaining the township economy

Tsakane -The Township Entrepreneurs Network (TEN) continues to revitalise the township economy.

Over 60 young, up-and-coming entrepreneurs attended the TEN monthly network session held at Faranani Multi-purpose Centre in Tsakane on Saturday.

On the day, entrepreneurs were educated on the new BEE codes, which came into effect on May 1, and on how to equip themselves and be able to grow and run their businesses successfully.

Though this session, Fikile Zwane (49), an aspiring entrepreneur from Tsakane says she learned how to handle and grow her business.

“Other entrepreneurs each won 100 business cards, and the design of a corporate logo, business profile and a business registration package,” says Mbonani.

He says changing the way local entrepreneurs think is TEN’s goal.

Mbonani called on all other local entrepreneurs to get involved in the sessions and grow their businesses.

“Our sessions are dedicated to township entrepreneurs in order for them to grow and sustain the local economy,” he says.

The next session will be held on June 27.
