Tsakane police spokesman Capt Petros Mabuza says the suspects, aged between 19 and 28, were arrested last week.
Four suspects were arrested on Thursday, and six on Friday.
“The looting took place in Tsakane Extension 16, 17 and 19,” says Mabuza.
Mabuza says the suspects targeted four tuck shops and fled with groceries and airtime vouchers.
Some of these items were later found in the suspects’ possession.
Mabuza believes the looting is simple criminality and could not confirm if the incidents are related to xenophobic attacks happening in other areas.
He says the looted tuck shops are back in business.
The suspects are expected to appear in the Tsakane Magistrate Court soon on charges of business break-in, public violence and possession of stolen goods.
