According to KwaThema police spokesman Capt Mandla Phori, the first incident took place at around 2.30am on Saturday.
It is believed that a fight between the suspect and the victim started in a tavern at Tornado Section.
Phori says it is unclear what caused the fight, but the suspect allegedly pointed a gun at the victim.
The victim managed to run home and call police.
Another incident took place at a local tavern at about 7.30pm on Sunday.
Phori say the suspect was arrested after he allegedly pointed a gun at a 28-year-old man, following an argument between the pair.
He says the suspect threatened to kill the man, who then ran from the tavern.
Police were called to the scene and the suspect was found in possession of a firearm, and arrested.
