One case of attempted murder and one case of attempted murder were reported this past week.
According to the spokesman for Duduza police,WO Yakub Rasool, assault and rape cases occur during the evenings and over weekends.
While no cases of rape were reported this past week, there is on average three cases of rape reported on a weekly basis.
He explains that cases reported to the police station during the week,when people are at work and children are at school, are burglaries.
Rasool further explains that most motor vehicle theft takes place at night.
He warns the community to always be vigilant to ensure they avoid being victims of such crimes.
Rasool appeals to the community to report any suspicious activities or suspicious-looking people they see in their communities.
