Comedy begins at home

Pablo Mashiane (22) from KwaThema fell in love with comedy in 2012.

Mashiane says he has also had a sense of humour especially during his schooling at Kenneth Masikela Secondary School.

He explains nobody supported his talent at the beginning he was all alone trying to be funny.

According to Mashiane the well known comedians Kedibone Mulaudzi and Jazz Buda have been his mentors ever since he began performing

comedy.

Mashiane adds he graduated at the South African Comedy Academy in Randburg in 2013.

He says every morning when he wakes up the first thing he does is check if he still has a sense of humour.

“Comedy is meant to be to make people happy not miserable so I would never post on someone’s wall trying to make fun of them” he says.

Mashinae says on Sunday he had a one man show titled “Comedy begins at home” at 9499 Mfene Street, Rest In Peace Section, KwaThema.

He says he was trying to encourage people from Kwatsaduza that professional comedy does not have to be watched in theatres.
