Zimbabwen karate instructor lands in kwaThema

Chief Karate Instructor of Zimbabwe Phibion Madzenda who ranks as a fifth den and C level international instructor was in KwaThema for the last two weeks.

Madzenda says the Zimbabwean, Japan Korea Association is celebrating its 50 years anniversary this whole year so he saw the opportunity to come learn more from Edward Mtachali who is the Regional Director for Karate Africa.

According to Madzenda, Karate is a sport which has taught him patience and discipline over the years.

He encourages the youth to participate in Karate as it is a sport which can help the youth to have self discipline.

Karate student from Zimbabwe Oswelled Ureke says it is his first time in South Africa and he has enjoyed his stay.

He explains in the few days he has been here he has been treated as a son by Edward Mtchali who has played a father figure role.

Ureke says he is honored and deeply humbled to have rub the shoulders of such a great man.
