Captain Petros Mabuza of the Tsakane police says the victim was driving home on Tuesday night at around 9pm when she was stopped by three suspects.
He says the suspects jumped from the car that they were travelling in and robbed the woman who was carrying cash that she made from her chicken dust business.
No shots were fired and all the suspects are still at large.
Mabuza advises the local business owners to avoid carrying large amounts of money when walking or driving alone, rather ask for help from the police.
