Student march at Tsakane Police Station

The Pan Africanist Students Organisation (PASO) had an anti crime march to the Tsakane Police Station to hand over a memorandum last Friday.

This comes after the homicide of a J.E Malepe Secondary School learner who was found in Modjandji Street on the morning of February 23.

National Coordinator from PASO, Piledrive Kuwanda explains the march is not just about the learner who was murdered but about the level of crime in our society.

Kuwanda says they are calling on the community to help the police in their investigation so the case can be solved and justice may prevail.

“The organisation is struggling to come to terms with the frightful and mounting crime levels in our community”,says Kuwanda.

He adds if the police do not act in 14 days there will be an another protest march to the Tsakane Police Station.

According to spokesperson of the Tsakane Police Station, Petros Mabuza they have accepted the memorandum, are aware of the case and the case is under investigation.

“We will respond to them within 14 days after management has devised a plan,” concludes Mabuza.
