Lights on at John Dube

Contractor Enoch Mudau says they have installed electrical mini subs with a medium voltage and mini subs with a low voltage.

Mudau explains the mini subs will soon have a protective steel structure so the community cannot tamper with the wiring at all.

Mudau pleads with parents to educate children to stay away from the mini subs and not play near them.

He adds on Friday 10 mini subs were switched on while the remaining six should be switched on by this Friday.

According to Mudau each RDP house in John Dube has a Redboard prepaid metre which will receive free units.

He advises residents to avoid using old appliances because they do not save electricity.

She explains the Duduza Customer Care Centre is open during weekdays and on Saturday until 1pm for residents to buy electricity.
