Top students who excelled in maths and science from Kwatsaduza were honoured at the Denel awards ceremony in Tshwane last Thursday.

Deputy Minister of Public Enterprises, Bulelani Magwanishe, said South Africans should value academic achievers on an equal basis with sportsmen.

Public Relations Officer, Pamela Malinda says the company is committed to investing in the training of young engineers, scientists and artisans at tertiary level and promoting the teaching of maths, science and technology.

Principal of the Raphedile Academy Philip Rafedile says top achiever matriculants who participated in the Denel Programme are: John Nyatshamo, Lwazi Selatole from Geluksdal Secondary School and Thabang Tshabalala from M.O.M Seboni Secondary School who all scored over 90% for three subjects.

Raphedile says all the students received bursaries from Denel.
