Successfull rescue of kidnapped man

Another success to add to Tsakane SAPS statistics.

An operation between Putfontein and Tsakane SAPS members lead to the rescue of a kidnapped man last Friday.

The 24-year-old man was kidnapped from his shop in Putfontein at 8.30pm on the same day.

Spokesman for the Tsakane police, Captain Petros Mabuza says they followed information which lead them to a house in Langaville, Extension Seven, where they found the man.

During the rescue the SAPS searched the house and found an unlicensed firearm.

Two suspects aged 40 and 57 years were arrested for possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

These two suspects will appear in the Benoni Magistrate’s Court soon.

Mabuza says the kidnappers demanded money for the safe return of the victim.

Six suspects were arrested with regards to the kidnapping.

It is not known when the suspects will appear in court.
