Zeb Ngwenya from Kwatsaduza is a professional architectural draughtsman.

He matriculated at Labane Motlabi Secondary School in KwaThema.

He says he studied maths,science,woodwork,technical drawing and two languages during his secondary school career.

He then went to Johannesburg Draughting College and studied a National Diploma in Draughting for three years.

The main modules he studied during the course was piping, civil engineering, structure, architecture and electronic technology.

He says he started drawing plans in 2000 when he was employed by Ekurhuluni’s Springs Municipal offices.

According to Ngwenya one must be registered with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession.

Ngwenya adds there are many fields in the profession such as technologist, technician and draughtsman like him.

He says one can study the career at a technicon, FET college or university.

Ngwenya says one must be very good in drawing and passionate before venturing into this career.

He says one has to be under a cadet for five years before being registered with the council.
