The event was aimed at bringing back the arts to Kwatsaduza and reviving poetry.
Event organiser Thabo says the community lacks awareness as far as the arts are concerned.
He adds his aim was not just to identify poetry but all other elements of art.
He explains that local artists need to unite in order to be recognised in Kwatsaduza.
Visual artists, comedians and the Blue Gum Jazz band were the other artists present at the event.
Black Disciple, Size 10, Mphumi Hadebe and Hazel Safaha were the highlighted poets who performed.
Author of the book “Ghetto Entrepreneurs”, Nontsikele Mzibomvu, gave a motivational speech to the youth regarding leadership, entrepreneurship, heredity and how to overcome challenges in life through education.
