KwaThema Dj rises against violence.

He was born and bred in KwaThema at a time when violent protests were an everyday activity in KwaThema.

He went to Theotwala Primary School then matriculated at Springs Secondary School where his schooling was almost interrupted by gangs such as Paso and Cosas in the late ’90s.

He adds he started his career in 2001 playing his music for parties and weddings while his older brother Moses Masiga played a huge role in mentoring him to be a Dj.

He explains that his older brother was also a Dj so he followed his footsteps by exposing himself to music.

Dj Spizo believes he started his career mainly to emulate his role model Glen Lewis.

Spizo also confirms that he noticed the rising action of his career in 2005 on Premium Monday’s sessions at Plato.

His message to the youth of Kwatsaduza is one should stay true to his/her identity, always remain unique in whatever talent God has given them and also not to get easily influenced by society by adopting wrong things.

Along with Dj Pips, Ndoza and Rooi his a co-owner of an entertainment company named “Boogy Connect” which began in 2006, the aim of their business is events planning and also giving back to the community.

He highlights some of the community projects he has been involved in, such as Tornado, by raising funds for the youth in education.

He plays deep house and dance music, yet says he also loves hip/hop and neo soul as personal genres.

Some of the trials and tribulations he highlights is that he lost his father at a young age so his mother was a single parent raising all six of his siblings.

The hugest event he’s been involved in was Wimbley Basketball League in Johannesburg were he shared a stage with HHP and Dj Spectacular.

Weekly, he says he plays for East Leisure and Badichillimo events in Kwatsaduza.

He concludes that his new mixtape is coming out on Podomatic or facebook on Dj Spizo Madodax titled “House Heaven Volume Eight”.
