The character is played by creator, Thingo Modise’s four-year-old nephew
Thingo, the character, is four years old, and entertains children both younger and older than himself.
When off stage, Thingo is a friendly boy who loves singing and dancing.
He likes going around to children’s parties and having fun with his friends between the ages of 0 and 12 years.
Thingo recently joined the entertainment industry and is receiving much love and support from the Kwatsaduza community.
Modise’s aim is to provide relevant and local entertainment while also educating children in the country.
“The educational programmes that I offer include numeracy,” says Modise.
He explains that he gets all the information that he shares with the other children from reading books and asking questions of different professionals and old people.
To make his name known, Modise is busy with his music video for his new track called Bangibuza which he says he hopes to finish soon.
In five years to come, Modise says he wants to see himself producing TV shows and own a company specialising in branding children’s clothes and toys.
Encouraging other children in Kwatsaduza, Thingo says they must dream big and work hard until they see their dreams fulfilled.
“Success is built by first dreaming before striving to make a dream come true,” Modise concludes.
