Success in music and drama

Success Music and Drama Institution is one of the schools that polish talents in KwaThema.

The school was formed by Lindy Mokoatlo 22 years ago and is still doing good work in producing tomorrow’s entertainers.

At the school, learners from Grade One until Grade Eight study music, drama and dance.

One of the music teachers at the school, Motsepe Dipeere, said the school’s aim is to search for the learners’ talents, polish it while also encouraging learners to work hard to achieve their goals.

He said to live towards fulfilling their dreams, learners can easily study towards a diploma in performing arts at the university.

Dipeere explained the challenges that the learners and the teachers are faced with.

He said the fact that some of the learners register to study at the school but along the way drop out from school is one of the challenges faced by the school.

“I believe that a challenge of learners dropping out from school is the biggest challenge faced by the majority of schools,” said Dipeere.

On Saturday, learners from the Success Music and Drama Institution showcased their performing talents.

Parents were present to witness the talents that their children have while also showing what they have learnt from the school through the kofifi dance, singing and drama performances.

The event was held at the school in KwaThema.
