Tsakane police arrested two men

The police is grateful for the community's assistance in this arrest.

Two men were recently arrested for possession of an unlicensed firearm in Tsakane.

A case of armed robbery and possession of a unlicensed firearm was opened at the Tsakane Police Station against the one man.

He robbed two school children of their cellphones at gunpoint in Ndaba Street.

According to Captain Petros Mabuza, Tsakane police spokesman, they stopped a KwaThema police vehicle and told the policemen what happened.

The policemen arrested the man and recovered the two cellphones.

No shots were fired.

The other man was recently arrested in Tsakane after the police received information form a community member.

A case of possession of an unlicensed firearm was opened at the Tsakane Police Station.

Mabuza is grateful for the community’s assistance in this arrest.

“We rely on the public to be our eyes and ears,” he says.

Both men will appear in court soon.
