Samuel Mzay’dume Majola dies at 83

Death has robbed the Majola family of their beloved father, brother, husband and a grandfather.

Samuel Mzay’dume Majola from Tornado Section in KwaThema was born in 1931 and died on Sunday at his home following a long illness.

Majola did his primary and secondary schooling at Brakpan Mine School.

He joined the South African Police Service in 1989 and retired after 37 years of service to different police stations including Brakpan and KwaThema police stations.

Speaking about his father, Mzwandile Majola explained him as a person who loved other people.

“My father was still a police officer after his retirement, he protected his family, neighbours and the entire community,” says Mzwandile. Majola leaves behind his wife, Nonsikelelo Majola, 15 children and 18 grandchildren.

His funeral service will be held at Full Gospel Church of God in KwaThema from 8am and the cortège will leave for the Vlakfontein Cemetery at 11am.
