Captain Petros Mabuza of the Tsakane police says the Tsakane Social Crime Prevention team took about 30 children from Mandlethu and Tsakane Extension Eight primary schools on a tour to the Sun City Prison last Thursday.
He says the tour was aimed at educating the young minds about the consequences of crime while also discouraging them to get involved in criminal activities.
“The gang groups such as the RAF 3’s in primary schools is where our children get exposed to committing crimes,” says Mabuza.
Adding that one of the Tsakane police priorities is to ensure that they end these groups before they destroy children’s future.
