According to Springs police spokesman, Captain Johannes Ramphora the woman was on her way to the church to clean so that she can get a food parcel to feed her family.
Ramphora says the woman was walking alone along Porter Street when an unknown man approached him.
He says suddenly a Blue Sentra car stopped next to the woman and the man forced her to jump into the car.
“When the woman refused to get inside the car, the man pushed her until she fell down,” says Ramphora.
Adding that the woman who was with other suspects inside the car ran to grab the child and fled the scene.
Ramphora says it is suspected that the suspects drove towards Tsakane direction.
The police urge anyone with the information that may lead to the arrest of the suspects to contact the Springs police on 011 365 5700/19/20.
