A man stopped at a robot on the corner of Fifth Street and Ninth Avenue, Springs CBD at 8:25pm on Tuesday when he noticed a car stopping in front of him.
Springs police spokesman Captain Johannes Ramphora says two armed men jumped out of the vehicle and ordered the driver of the C180 Mercedes Benz to ‘get out or you will be shot’.
“The victim was left standing ther and the hijackers drove off in both cars,” he adds.
The stolen vehicle was fund later that evening in Nkomo Street in Duduza.
No shots were fired and no arrests were made.
