Tsakane – Five men were shot in a drive-by shooting along Caldonia Street, Geluksdal, on Friday evening.
Two of the victims were certified dead on the scene by paramedics and one died in hospital.
It is alleged the friends were sitting outside a friend’s house when an unknown vehicle stopped next to them.

The occupants of the car allegedly opened fire on them and then sped off.
Tsakane police spokesperson Sergeant Lerato Mngomezulu says the Provincial Investigating Unit (PIU) arrested five males aged between 20 and 36 on suspicion of murder and attempted murder on Tuesday.
Tsakane SAPS station commander Col Johannes Maass says they were able to apprehend the suspects with the help of the residents.

“We also appreciate the help of the station officers for being able to hand over evidence to the PIU.
“Your co-operation led to the arrest of the perpetrators,” he says.
