“We do not condone any behaviour that seeks to abuse or oppress men.

“There are a lot of movements that protect the rights of women but it is forgotten that men are humans too and have rights.

“Men are being abused in their homes by their spouses. We are taking a stand against any form of abuse against all citizens.

“Men sleep on the couches, spend hours at taverns because they are afraid of their wives who abuse them.

“They are scared to report the cases to the police because they fear being looked down at.”

Caswel says they would like to have a seat in parliament to voice out some of the challenges they come across in their communities.

“New laws need to be put into place to protect the citizens better because we are seeing an increase in abuse cases, especially in our communities.

“We are saying enough is enough, fighting against abuse should not be about gender but cover all citizens.”
