Frightened woman in KwaThema locks herself in bedroom and screams for help

A woman locked herself in the bedroom while her house was being robbed.

KwaThema – The complainant, from Nkabinde Street, heard a noise that sounded like something was falling.

She went to check and found an unknown black male in the dining room.

She then went back to her bedroom and locked herself in.

She opened one of the windows and screamed for her neighbours to help.

After a few minutes, she heard a knock at her door.

When she opened it, it was her neighbours.

Upon inspection, she realised that a DVD player, amplifier and sneakers, all to the value of R1 910 were missing.

No arrests have been made.

“It is good to see neighbours are helping each other.

“We can combat crime faster if we stand together as a community,” says Capt Thabo Sibuyi.
