KwaThema- The Visible Policing (Vispol) trio task team arrested two suspects for possession of explosives at the KwaThema hostel entrance.
Springs police spokesperson Captain Johannes Ramphora said the two confirmed that they were going to use it to bomb an ATM.
“It was confirmed by the explosive unit that the explosives were ready to be placed and set off and the ignite was already set in place.
“The vehicle was handed in at KwaThema SAP 13/1405/2017 and the explosives at KwaThema SAP13/1404/2017 was taken by the explosive unit members.
“Suspects were detained and will appear before the Springs Magistrate’s Court,” he says.
