Extra special Christmas party

Nomvula Sibanyoni, founder of Ratanang Elderly Organization, needs the community’s support to host their annual Christmas Party.

KwaThema – Nomvula Sibanyoni, founder of Ratanang Elderly Organisation, needs the community’s support to host their annual Christmas party.

Established in 2014, Ratanang has been the delight of many pensioners.

“My desire has always been to take care of them and make them feel special.

The Christmas party this year is extra special because one of our members is also celebrating a 100th birthday,” says Nomvula.

Zandile Shabalala, one of the volunteers in the organisation, says they urgently need transport for the forty pensioners.

“We are having the celebration at Langzeekoegout Farm near the Bochabelo Farm School because that is where our centenarian is from,” she explains.

“We always appreciate the people who have supported our events.

“We are also inviting other pensioners who would like to join in the celebrations.”

The event will take place on December 23, at Langzeekoegout Farm in Nigel.

“We will also be handing out food parcels to help the pensioners for the rest of the festive season,” says Nomvula.

The organisation is appealing to individuals and businesses who would like to assist in making the celebration possible, to contact Nomvula Sibanyoni on 079 839 8592 or Zandile Shabalala on 078 584 6161.
