Residents urged to tighten home security

“No shots were fired and no one has been arrested this far.”

KwaThema – Suspects broke into a house along Forget Street in Masechaba Section and fled with valuables worth R20 500 on Tuesday.

It is alleged the two unknown men entered the house armed with a firearm.

Springs police spokesperson, Capt Johannes Ramphora says the suspects took two plasma TV sets, cellphones and cash.

“No shots were fired and no one has been arrested this far.

“We are calling anyone with information about the suspects’ whereabouts to inform the police on 011 365 5719/20.”

Ramphora also urged residents to tighten security in their homes this festive season and to report any suspicious activities.
