Free vehicle testing for public transport vehicles and buses
Part of the Ekurhuleni Metro’s programme for Transport Month offers free vehicle testing for certain vehicles.
Free vehicle testing takes place during this month on all public transport vehicles and trucks with a gross vehicle mass of 3 500kg and more.
“This forms part of the metro’s programmes during Transport Month,” says metro spokesperson Themba Gadebe.
“These vehicles must be designed to transport 12 or more passengers.”
Free vehicle testing includes the likes of trucks, taxis, buses and scholar transport.
Vehicles can be taken to any of the metro’s active vehicle testing centres during weekdays from 8am to 3pm.
