Riding in the hood for charity

24/7 Riders are ready to jol for charity, and they are inviting the whole community.

KwaThema – 24/7 Riders are ready to jol for charity and they are inviting the whole community.

“We are passionate about motorcycles and the community we live in,” says Malizo Magangane, 24/7 Riders MCC president.

The Ekurhuleni based motorcycle club was established in 2015 and is 22 members strong.

“We continuously involve ourselves in charities around our community and this is a pillar of brotherhood and sisterhood code.”

He says that their activities are lifestyle driven and centre around escape and adventure, performance and individuality.

The riders will host their 3rd annual ‘DayJol’ at Tsakane Stadium on October 21.

“It’s a gathering of motorcycle enthusiasts, mostly those that have motorcycles, but also those that like the lifestyle associated with the sport.”

The event also gives the community a platform to learn more about motorbikes and hopefully inspiring enthusiasts to join the movement.

The club has also committed to providing financial assistance to a charity in the community soon after the event.

“The other aim of the DayJol is to invigorate local tourism as enthusiasts come from far and wide to support us.

“It is just a great day out for the whole family. We really want everyone to come.”

Malizo believes that the two previous DayJols have given them the best experience in putting this one together.
