Two local footballers signed by Polokwane City Football Club

African All Stars Football club will be hosting soccer trials over the weekend.

Tsakane – Local football club, African All Stars, is proud of two of its players being signed by Polokwane City over the weekend.

Katekane ‘Mnyama’ Mhlanga (23) and Sthembiso ‘Maticket’ Mhlanga (24) are the new signed Polokwane City players.

Team public relations officer, Tshepo Tlagae, says they are proud of the two young men.

“They are now going to be playing amongst the professionals and flying our flag high.

“They were disciplined during their time in African All Stars and we are hoping that they will take what we have taught them forward,” he says.

Tshepo says two players were also scouted and signed by the same team in the previous season.

“This shows that we are doing something good to groom our players to be able to play and compete amongst the best in the sport,” he says.

Head coach, Christian Xaba, says boys who are interested in playing in the ABC Motsepe League are invited to participate in their upcoming trials.

“The trials will be hosted from June16 and 17 at Tsakane Stadium and registration will start from 8am-9am and the trials will begin at 9.30am.

“For more information about the trials contact assistant coach, Temba Ntuli on 073 783 1995,” he says.
