Comrades champions wear their medals with pride
KwaTsaDuza was well represented in the Comrades Marathon on June 4.
KwaThema – Jabu Mashinini kept his word and brought back a silver medal from the Comrades Marathon to put KwaTsaDuza on the map.
Long distance runner and former soccer player Mashinini says he is elated with his performance.
He finished his first Comrades, in 2015, in 8hrs 20min, winning a Bill Rowan medal.
“I couldn’t be happier with my performance,” he says.
This year Mashinini set out to complete the up run in 7hrs 20min, and he finished in a time of 7hrs 24min 16s.
