‘Nothing is impossible if you believe’

Langaville - Daniel Nkosi (57) is adamant that there is no other explanation for his healing, but his own faith; this after he had a major stroke in November 2014.

“It was on the 4th of November that I heard a voice, very clearly, telling me that I should stop complaining about my legs.”

Nkosi, who is a pastor, says that he had had some unexplained pain in his legs which prevented him from preaching at hospitals.

“On the 30th I then had the stroke.”

Unaware that he was having a stroke, Nkosi says that he fell, while getting out of bed in the early hours of the morning, after his wife had spent some time praying.

“I couldn’t get up. But for some reason I wasn’t worried.

Nkosi says that he spent a few hours on the floor because his wife did not have the strength to pull him up.

“Eventually I got up, and my wife started preparing to go to church,” he explains.

The couple made it to church and Nkosi preached his sermon, as he does every Sunday.

“It was after I was done preaching that I lost consciousness,” he says.

Nkosi was taken home and remained there for the next two days.

“My family eventually convinced me to go to the hospital, where I was admitted immediately. The doctors were sure that I was going to die, but I refused to believe that.”

When he left the hospital, he says that he was paralysed on his left side.

“I didn’t want to apply for a disability grant because I knew that I would be healed.”

Today Nkosi, although not fully recovered, has the use of his left side and he continues to preach the gospel.

“I want people to be encouraged by my story. Nothing is impossible if you believe.”
