Clinics will be open during festive season

Ekurhuleni Metro clinics will be open during the festive season, but closed on public holidays.

Metro spokesman Themba Gadebe says this includes December 27, which has been declared a public holiday by the presidency.

Although the municipal offices will close during the festive season, clinics will be operating between December 23 and 30, until 1pm. Mobile clinics will not however be operating during this time.

“The community should note that only skeleton staff will be on duty during this period and services should therefore ideally be utilised before the festive period, to avoid long queues.

The community may utilise the community health care centres and hospitals, which are open 24-hours a day, for urgent health needs.

The list of centres are:

• KwaThema Health Care Centre, 7001 Moshoeshoe Street, KwaThema.

• Nokuthela Ngwenya Community Health Centre, Vlakfontein Road, Dunnottar.

• Phillip Moyo Community Health Centre.

• Phola Park Community Health Centre, 10054 Mzimkulu and Letutula, Phola

Park.

• Ramokonopi Community Health Centre, 819 Portion B, Ramokonopi West
