According to police, the incident happened at about 3.15pm.
“The 18-year-old teenager was with his girlfriend, when they were approached by three men.

“One of them asked for R2 from the complainant and when he told him he had no money, the trio went to their vehicle.
“After a short while, the trio returned with one of the guys allegedly pointing a firearm at the teen, while the others searched him,” says Capt Thabo Sibuyi.

Two cellphones and R40 was allegedly taken from the couple, then the robbers left.
Police are investigating an armed robbery case.
No arrests have been made and no one was injured during the incident.
