RAF outreach in KwaThema

KwaThema - The Road Accident Fund (RAF) recently reached out to the community to explain the necessary steps on service delivery and how to claim, when they are victims of a motor vehicle accident.

RAF representatives assisted the 324 community members with registering new claims, consolidation of required compliance documents, settlement offers and reporting alleged cases of misconduct against unscrupulous personal injury attorneys – and touts defrauding unsuspecting claimants.

Capt Thabo Sibuye, SAPS spokesman says several police members also attended the outreach.

“We take services to the doorsteps of all South Africans who’ve been involved in an accident and qualify to claim from the fund,” says RAF regional marketing manager Vusi Langa.

They encourage the community to visit Pholosong Hospital or the Far East Rand Hospital, which are the fund’s two local Hospital Service Centres, to claim directly.

Claimants are requested to bring their ID documents to inquire about their claims.

Langa says people claiming for the first time are required to have case numbers, accident reports, vehicle registrations and contact numbers of all parties involved in the motor vehicle accident.
