Business owner robbed

KwaThema - At about 9.30am on Monday, a shop owner (30) was allegedly robbed at his shop in Extension Three.

While he was busy offloading stock from his vehicle, the complainant was approached by three men.

“The one suspect pointed a firearm at the owner and grabbed him, pulled him inside the shop and searched him.

“An amount of R7 500 was taken from his pocket and a cellphone while the other two allegedly took cigarettes and airtime estimated at R2 000.

“Afterwards the trio left the shop and fired one shot, but as the owner tried to run after then, a second shot was fired at him,” says police spokesman Capt Thabo Sibuyi.

No one was injured during the incident and no arrests have been made.

Police are investigating a case of business robbery.
