Career day in Duduza

Duduza – Duduza Primary School hosted a career day for Grade Six and Seven learners last Friday.

Professionals in different fields were present to motivate and talk about their career choices.

The school’s Life Orientation (LO) teacher, Thuli Mabena, says it is important that learners explore different professions at an early age so they know exactly what to study in order to pursue their chosen career.

“Grade Seven learners are going to high school next year, if they know what career path they want it will be easier for them to make informed decisions when choosing subjects,” she says.

She adds that this exercise is also part of the LO curriculum as the subject is there to guide and equip learners about life skills.
