Mahlaba will be remembered
KwaThema – Barbara Mahlaba (67) who was born on February 28, 1949, in KwaThema, died on September 15 after a short illness.
Mahlaba was a staunch member of the ANC with 40 years of unbroken service to the organisation. She served the ANC at the KwaThema branch before she joined Ward 74.
She was instrumental in making sure the view s of her community members were heard by the organisation and community leaders.
The community will remember her for her loyal, disciplined and glorious nature which she shared with her fellow comrades, contributing to the movement.
Mahlaba is survived by a son, Tholo Mahlaba, and a daughter, Lucy Mahlaba.
Her funeral service will be held at the KwaThema Community Hall in Nksoi Street at 7am on Saturday.
After the service the cortège will leave for the Brakpan Cemetery at 11.30am where she will be laid to rest.
