Burglars fail in their mission

KwaThema – The police are investigating a business burglary, following an incident that occurred in Shabangu Street, over the weekend.

On Saturday, at about 4pm, the complainant (age unknown) locked up the funeral parlour at which he was working at the close of business.

At that time everything was in good order.

When, however, he returned on Sunday, at around 8am, to open at the funeral parlour, he saw that the padlocked had been cut off.

“As the employee entered, he noticed that tiles had been removed from the wall, which had been broken.

“A hole had been made, which penetrated the Standard Bank ATM building,” says police spokesman, W/O David Mphali.

Nothing was taken from the mortuary building or the ATM.

No arrests have been made.
