Empowering youth with skills

KwaThema – The Sechaba Advancement Foundation will host a youth empowerment convention on July 23.

The event will be held at the Reformed Apostolic Church, in KwaThema at Ncwadi Street.

Vusi Yende of the foundation says that the day’s events will begin with a business breakfast which is set to start at 10.30am, for all those who arrive early.

The programme, with the theme “From Dream to Destiny”, will run from 11.30am.

“We are inviting young people to come through on the day as our objective is to empower them.

“There will be discussions on self-identity, leadership, business and life skills, career guidance, how to start up NGOs, teenage pregnancy, drugs and education on HIV/Aids and support.

“As we will be working together with various organisations and departments, the youth will be addressed by seven guest speakers,” he says.
