Local boxers ready for the ring

Tsakane - Bigger Walker Boxing Club ama Eagle's coach, Charles Mtshali, is happy to announce his five boxers who will be going for grading soon.

The lads will be a part of the ceremony set to take place at the Bert Collin Boxing Club, in Springs, on July 9.

Mtshali explains that the purpose of this process is for the boys to officially start competing in tournaments.

“We can now see that these boys, Sibusiso Tshabalala (12), Sipho Tshabalala (11), Nhlanhla Ndlela (13), Junior Constable (9) and Lindokuhle Mathibela (13), are fit enough, ready and suitable to make it into the ring,” he says.

“During the grading, they will obtain their competition record book for boxers, which will contain all the necessary health and fight information as they start competing.

“I am very proud of them, as they have worked hard and come a long way and it gives me great pleasure seeing them progress.”

The boys are also excited and looking forward to their first official tournament, in which they will be able to compete in KwaThema, on July 23.
