KwaThema – SAPS arrested a 23-year-old man for possession of ammunition, in Phato Street, KwaThema Phase Three.
The police were on routine patrol when they received a call about a man in possession of ammunition.
W/O David Mphali, police spokesman, says when the police arrived at the house, they were taken to the suspect’s bedroom.
“We searched the bedroom and found two magazines with 11 rounds of ammunition under a mattress in the room,” says Mphali
The suspect denied having a firearm and said he doesn’t know who the ammunition belongs to.
He was arrested and taken to the police station.
The suspect will appear in court on Wednesday.
